- Will this keep my headphones in high-quality playback mode?
- Rank a built-in, USB, or wired microphone above the headset mic and keep your apps set to follow the system default. FlipMic keeps that preferred input selected, avoiding the headset microphone handoff. If an app pins the headset mic itself, the app can still trigger call mode.
- Will dictation catch my first words?
- FlipMic removes the cold Bluetooth microphone switch when another mic is preferred. That removes one major source of clipped openings, but it cannot control how a particular dictation app starts or buffers recording.
- Does it work with Zoom, Meet, Slack, Teams, and dictation apps?
- Yes when the app follows the macOS system default. If an app has its own microphone picker, choose “system default” there too.
- Does it need microphone permission?
- No. FlipMic never opens an audio stream and never records. It only changes the system’s selected devices.
- How do I get the app after checkout?
